Pietro Belluschi (1899–1994) was an Italian-born American architect who pioneered the use of aluminium and glass curtain walls in the Equitable Building (1948) in Portland, Oregon — one of the first glass-walled office buildings in the world. He later served as dean of MIT's School of Architecture and contributed to the design of the Pan Am Building (now MetLife) in New York with Walter Gropius.
